Momenteel werk ik nog (weliswaar minder uren dan voorheen) bij B&S technology als inkoper.<\/p>\n

In mijn vrije tijd ben ik altijd heel sportief geweest. Ik fietste graag (mountainbike maar ook wielrennen), hardlopen was mijn passie. Ik heb meerdere keren de montventoux beklommen en ook 2x de ten miles gelopen.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator sep_color=”accent” uncode_shortcode_id=”262832″ sep_color_type=”uncode-palette” el_height=”1″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”276692″]Als je hoort dat er eigenlijk niets medisch met je aan de hand is maar je elke dag simpelwel al doodmoe op staat dan twijfel je aan jezelf. Meerdere pogingen heb ik ondernomen om het hardlopen dan maar weer te gaan oppakken. Meerdere keren kwam ik gefrustreerd weer thuis, het hardlopen gaat niet. Mijn co\u00f6rdinatie is zo slecht dat mijn hersenen niet weten wat mijn voeten doen. Ook als ik lang wandel dan is de co\u00f6rdinatie slecht, dan lijkt het wel of ik ladderzat aan het lopen ben, zo zwalk ik dan over de weg.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column column_width_percent=”100″ gutter_size=”3″ font_family=”font-136269″ overlay_alpha=”50″ shift_x=”0″ shift_y=”0″ shift_y_down=”0″ z_index=”0″ medium_width=”0″ mobile_width=”0″ width=”1\/3″ uncode_shortcode_id=”183555″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”106124″]In 2015 heb ik een mountainbike ongeluk gehad en begonnen de eerste vage klachten. Ondanks doorverwijzing en MRI is hier verder niets uitgekomen. In 2017 kreeg ik een ski ongeluk. Tijdens het ski\u00ebn droeg ik gelukkig een helm anders had ik het nu niet meer na kunnen vertellen. Het herstel duurde lang en er bleven steeds weer vage klachten bijkomen. In 2018 allerlei neurologische onderzoeken ondergaan maar hieruit kwam ook geen duidelijkheid. Sterker nog het was zeker geen MS maar wat dan wel dat bleef onduidelijk.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator sep_color=”accent” uncode_shortcode_id=”262832″ sep_color_type=”uncode-palette” el_height=”1″][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”408391″]Dan is het 2021 en ben ik het zat. Ik ga opnieuw naar de huisarts en\u00a0 ga de hele neurologische molen nog een keer in. En helaas wat blijkt? het is toch MS. PPMS om precies te zijn.<\/p>\n

Er is eerder een fout gemaakt met het lumbaalonderzoek en hierdoor is in 2018 de conclusie getrokken dat het MS niet kon zijn. Ik ben niet gek![\/vc_custom_heading][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=”149227″]Direct gestart met de medicatie en dat betekent in mijn geval ocrelizumab<\/strong> infuus 2x per jaar. Iets anders is er niet voor mij.
\nNu na het 3e infuus weet ik \u00e9\u00e9n ding zeker als ik verder niets onderneem: het wordt alleen maar slechter.<\/strong> Vandaar de keuze om de stamceltherapie behandeling in Mexico<\/strong> te ondergaan.<\/p>\n

In Nederland<\/strong> kun je deze behandeling niet<\/strong> ondergaan als MS patient, in het buitenland<\/strong> wel maar deze wordt dus niet vergoed<\/strong>.
\nDeze behandeling kost 55.000 US$<\/strong>, dat is exclusief<\/strong> vliegtickets en onvoorziene kosten. Dat is veel geld<\/strong>.
\nEn dat is de reden dat we hiervoor een crowdfunding<\/strong> actie hadden opgezet. Ik geniet z\u00f3 van het leven, mijn vrouw en kinderen. Bang ben ik voor deze behandeling.
\nBang was ik toen ik voor het eerst hoorde dat mijn vader MS heeft.
\nMoeilijk vond ik het om positief te blijven.<\/p>\n

Het doet me pijn om te zien dat mijn vader achteruit gaat. En straks hoeft dat misschien niet meer?<\/p>\n

Ik zal nooit meer met ons pap de Mont Ventoux beklimmen op de fiets of met hem kunnen hardlopen. Maar deze behandeling betekent misschien wel dat we nog steeds samen naar concerten van Pearl Jam, ACDC en Rammstein kunnen gaan.<\/p>\n

En dat ik lopend word weggegeven bij het altaar in plaats van rollend \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

MS heeft ons leven al veel veranderd en dat was soms (af en toe nog steeds) moeilijk. Met deze behandeling hoop ik dat de veranderingen minder worden en dat ik weer kan rocken samen met mijn vader.<\/p>\n
